MASTERFRAME PAYS TRIBUTE TO BROUGHTON HOUSE

Carol Slade, Sales and Operations Director for Masterframe Windows Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer of a prestigious range of sash windows, recently visited Broughton house and had this to say,

“It was such a privilege to visit this wonderful establishment, to receive such a warm welcome from Squadron Leader Chris Thomas RAF and his team and to view our Vintage windows in situ in the building that has been serving so many casualties of war since 1916. It was inspirational to learn how Broughton House has become a loving home to so many serviceman and women in need and to learn how, in spite of the challenges they face in raising funds, the home is able to provide such a happy environment for their charges”.

Carol was accompanied by Declan Mc Kenna of Bayfield Bespoke Glazing Ltd who expertly installed the new Vintage windows in 2013, replacing the old timber windows with new, energy-efficient PVC-U windows.

Declan had this to say “The Vintage windows look just like their timber counterparts but possess all the attributes of contemporary windows. The people living in the building will be sure to notice the difference as there will be substantially less heat loss. The windows have authentic detailing and are perfect for conservation areas and buildings such as Broughton House where it is important to maintain and protect all the original charm.”

Broughton House has their Gala Dinner coming up in February 2015 to raise funds and always welcome any donations no matter how small. There are many ways to donate and this information is available on their new website at broughtonhouse.com.

Before Carol left she was happy to hand over an M & S hamper of treats to be used at various functions over the festive period and wished Broughton House every success with their plans for the future.
